Hi guys! In Italy, 23th April is celebrated "The day of the book". I really like reading, especially love books. I think it's an excellent idea a party to celebrate books that help us to learn new things.
World Book and Copyright Day is an event organized by the UNESCO to promote reading,publishing and copyright.It is celebrated every year on the 23rd of April with lots of events all over the world.This day was celebrated for the frist time in 1996.(Martina Stapane-Italy)
Hello! I'm Pamela Nico. I think that this day is very important because it aims to encourage people to read, especially those people who have never read a book.
I love reading also in foreign languages and I think that this celebrations is very inspiring.(Carlotta) I enjoy reading,particularly I read novels.My favourite book is"Uno splendido disastro",which is written by Jamie Mcguire(Marta) I really like reading particularly I love love novels and adventure books.(Benedetta Cagnazzo)
Hi!I'm Virginia.I like books,but if I have to be honest...I occasionally read.My favourite books are those of love,mystery and adventure. I like the fantasy ones,too. I know that in Spain for St.George's Day(that is also on the 23rd of April)men give to women a rose and a book...Is it right?
Hi Virginia, yes it is but only in Catalonia. St George is the Patron Saint of Catalonia, so they celebrate St. George's Day as a big day. In the rest of Spain is not such a common costum.

The city of Wrocław (Poland) has been named World Book Capital for 2016. Congrats to our Polish partners!
